  • Black Urban Growers/Black Farmers and Urban Gardeners Conference: Black Urban Growers (BUGS) is an organization committed to building networks and community support for growers in both urban and rural settings. Through education and advocacy around food and farm issues, we nurture collective Black leadership to ensure we have a seat at the table.

  • Brooklyn Rescue Mission - Bed Stuy Farm and Urban Harvest Center: The Brooklyn Rescue Mission Vision is to build community pride, provide healthy provisions to our neediest residents, encourage youth empowerment and develop a communal culture toward land use and community health.

  • Cooperative Economics Alliance of New York City: The Cooperative Economics Alliance of New York City (CEANYC) strengthens and expands community-led, democratically-controlled initiatives — from worker, financial and consumer co-ops to community land trusts and gardens, mutual housing, and low-income housing co-ops.

  • FLOWS Grocery: FLOWS Grocery is an online grocer exclusively supplied by brands and businesses owned by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).

  • Fort Greene Greenmarket: Located outside the entrance of historic Fort Greene Park at Washington Park between Dekalb & Myrtle

    • Open Saturdays, year-round.

  • Greene Hill Food Co-Op: Greene Hill Food Coop is a Brooklyn food co-op serving the communities of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Crown Heights, Prospect Heights and beyond. As a 100 percent working co-op, our members enjoy prices on foods and household goods that are significantly lower and more carefully sourced than some for-profit grocery stores. Only our member-owners can shop, but anyone can become a member today!

  • Hattie Carthan Community Farmers Market (Bed-Stuy): Hatti Carthan Community Farmers Market is a grassroots, POC-led agricultural revitalization project in Central Brooklyn NYC.

  • Just Food: Just Food oversees a large network of farms as well as New York City CSAs and farmer’s markets, working toward a healthy food system rooted in racial, social, economic, and environmental justice.

  • NYC Food Resource Guide: The Hunter College NYC Food Policy Center has partnered with Share Meals, Hunger Free America, BetaNYC and Plentiful to compile the most current and accurate data for these resource guides, which are continually updated.

Parenting/Family:

  • Fort Greene Kids: A long-established neighborhood message board for parents providing recommendations for programs and services for families  in Fort Greene, including after-school programs, summer camps, and tutoring.

  • Fort Greene PUPS: Fort Greene Park Users and Pets Society (PUPS) serves dog owners who use Brooklyn's Fort Greene Park on a regular basis through education about Fort Greene Park and our responsibility as daily visitors, advocacy for our canine companions, promoting the benefits of off-leash exercise, and providing opportunities for social connection with neighbors in our community.

  • Parents Around the Hill: A nonprofit organization that provides support to parents in Clinton Hill and Fort Greene, such as parenting classes, playgroups, and support groups.

Environmental:

  • The Fort Greene Park Conservancy: The FGPC provides free programming, park planting and maintenance materials, staff support, and advocacy for the park and the community.

  • Hollenback Community Garden: A community garden located in Clinton Hill, where residents can grow their own food and flowers, and the public is welcomed to visit during open weekend hours.

  • Sanitation Foundation: The Sanitation Foundation is the official non-profit partner of the New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY). Their mission is simple: keep the city clean while celebrating and supporting the essential Sanitation workforce and advancing the City’s ambitious zero-waste agenda.

  • Trees NY: A nonprofit organization that works to plant and care for trees in New York City, providing trees to communities, schools, and other organizations.

Cultural Organizations:

  • BRIC: A media arts and cultural organization that presents and produces programs in Brooklyn, including film screenings, concerts, and art exhibitions.

  • Brooklyn Music School: The Brooklyn Music School views music and performance as the birthright of all people, an essential way that human beings connect with others and explore their creativity. tBMS offers group and private lessons as well as ensembles and their programming is designed for people of all ages and experience levels.

  • The Brooklyn Academy of Music: BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) is a multi-arts center located in Brooklyn, New York.  For more than 150 years, BAM has been the home for adventurous artists, audiences, and ideas—engaging both global and local communities. With world-renowned programming in theater, dance, music, opera, film, and much more, BAM showcases the work of emerging artists and innovative modern masters.

  • The Center for Fiction: The Center for Fiction is the only nonprofit literary organization in the U.S. solely dedicated to celebrating fiction, and they work every day to connect readers and writers. They are known for their special literary events, providing grants and workshops to support emerging writers, providing free books and events for K-12 students, as well as summer writing workshops for budding authors. 

  • Clinton Hill Library: A public library that serves the Clinton Hill community, offering books, magazines, computers, community events, and other resources.

  • Fort Greene Chamber Music Society: Presents concerts in Fort Greene, featuring a variety of classical and contemporary music.

  • Jack Theater: A theater company that produces and presents plays in Brooklyn, featuring a variety of new and classic works. A former distribution site for the CSA!

  • The Polonsky Shakespeare Center – Theatre for a New Audience: A theater company that presents Shakespeare and other classical plays in a modern setting.

Economic/Social Advocacy:

  • Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation: A community development organization that works to improve the quality of life in Bedford-Stuyvesant by providing affordable housing, job training, and other services.

  • Big Reuse: Big Reuse advances New York City’s sustainable urban environment through circular economy programs that divert waste from our landfills and reduce greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere.

  • Fort Greene Council: A community council that works to improve the quality of life in Fort Greene by advocating for the needs of residents and businesses.

  • Fort Greene SNAP – Fort Greene Strategic Neighborhood Action Partnership: A nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of life in Fort Greene by addressing issues such as housing, education, and public safety.

  • Fulton Business Alliance: A business improvement district that works to promote and improve the Fulton Street area of Brooklyn, including its businesses, residents, and visitors.

  • IMPACCT Brooklyn: A nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of life in Brooklyn by supporting community-based organizations and initiatives. Our 2023 season distribution host!

  • Mangrove Business and Cultural Incubator: A business incubator that provides affordable production space and support to small businesses and makers in food and design, as well as free or low-cost space for community organizations to host events and meetings.

  • Myrtle Avenue Partnership: A business improvement district that works to promote and improve the Myrtle Avenue area of Brooklyn, including its businesses, residents, and visitors.

  • Pratt Center for Community Development: A nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of life in Brooklyn by providing technical assistance and resources to community-based organizations.

Community/Educational:

  • Clinton Hill Fort Greene Mutual Aid: Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic, CHFG Mutual Aid is a network of thousands of neighbors to share what we have and fulfill what we need. Recognizing that our community has been impacted by gentrification and systemic racism, we seek to repair harm and create equity through redistribution and advocacy.

  • PS 56: The Lewis Latimer School: A public elementary school located in Fort Greene, serving students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Has been a distribution partner for our CSA for many years!

  • The Urban Assembly Unison School: A public middle school located in Fort Greene that offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum, including hydroponics and urban agriculture. Located in the same building at PS56.
